We made it. Doug opened his last gift today and so we are officially Christmas-ed out. As quick as I could I took the ornaments and lights off the tree and then instructed the kids to take it down while I ran a quick errand.
After the fake needles were vacuumed off the floor I looked at the space where the tree was. “What am I going to put there?” I asked.
Doug’s answer…”Nothing. We can finally get the door open.”
Hey, it’s not my fault that the only logical place to put the tree in the living room was basically right in front of the basement door.
Anyhow,
we are off to dinner tonight with 3000 of Doug’s relatives. I’ll probably have some photos of it.
