I had request from my favorite fireman for some no bake cookies.
Me: "no bake, no problem. google recipe, sort through 53,465,875 options and find one. borrow cocoa powder from neighbor. no real butter, use tub stuff."
I even sent him a picture of the pre-set cookies to drool over before they debuted at the fire house.
Not happening. They are a gooey mess, even after a round in the freezer.
Do you know the trick? What did I do wrong?
Please share.

I think it's the tub butter. I remember grandma Rose saying that if a recipe called for butter that you also use real, stick butter. Never the "tub stuff" or margarine.
Maybe you could heat it up and pour it over ice cream.
