Let it begin!!

Ethan and I commenced "project scary steps" today.

The before picture.

The "after we had all the carpet ripped off and staples and tack strips pulled up" picture. I am sure by this time I was shouting something like...stop messing with the plugs. or something.

The picture Ethan tookof my rear end while I was sanding and yelling at him to stop taking pictures and go in the living room because it was so dusty. See it there in the picture. My pretty black front doors have dust all over them now...

Anyhow, stay tuned. And too bad if you need something from up stairs, you just have to scale the railing, mountain goat style.

Great idea to rip up that old carpet. Much better already! I posted a stair revamp also, but I was working with wood steps to begin with. You should check it out on my blog when you have the chance.

Will you be doing a stained tread? is that the correct wording? I would of loved to have done that when we had our carpet replaced, but hubby likes carpet underfoot.
I will be back to your blog to check this project out. Popped over from Kimba's DIY.
