We made it. Just in time. Actually the kids were much better in the car on the way home than they were on the way to SC. And we made better time even though we took a short 9 mile out of the way detour and had to stop SIX times for food and potty breaks.
Now that we are home ::
Owen picked up the Wii.
Ethan got crazy and decided to use a wet washcloth to wipe down all the chalkboards (?????) and then packed a shoe box for school (?????) Maybe he had too much sun.
Avery retreated to her room to hibernate and pretend to put away her clean clothes. She just came downstairs with three ponytails and a headband in her hair. Maybe she had too much sun also.
Erin started arranging the stuff she brought home, and got ready for a birthday party. It’s a swimming party. Why she would even want to swim tonight after six days of non stop swimming is beyond me…but I’m going to drop her off.
Doug hauled in all the junk from the car and then promptly left for a run at one of his usual places.
I put away some clothes, ate a sandwich, checked my email, sorted through the mail.
So good to be here.
